I love hump day. I find myself starting a count down (2 days, 9 hours, 30 minutes and 45 seconds) until the weekend. In my mind, two and some days is a long time to wait to let loose a little. So, I take full advantage of ‘Wastin’ Away Wednesdays’ at Goodfella’s in Eveleth with Backwoods Karaoke. Oh boy, people-this is a fun night.
Amigos, the Mexican food deals on Wednesdays are a STEAL-the quesadillas, Nachos Grande, tacos and more for only $3. Add a buck for chicken in the quesadillas. And I’ll tell you this: they don’t pull any half-the meat, cheapo portions crap. Everything is generous and delicious in my opinion.
But, even more importantly after three whole days of work, the MARGARITAS are only $3, too! Occasionally, I like to close my eyes, take a sip of my Margarita, and pretend that I’m on some island in the Bahamas (without the kids). Ahhh…
I haven’t even begun to talk about how fun Backwoods karaoke with Dale is. This is not just any old karaoke night, folks. The local talent regularly attends and just loves the opportunity to show off a bit. The sound system totally rocks. Even if you can’t sing very well, this system actually makes you sound better than you are (that’s the part I love). I also love that I don’t have to write down numbers and deal with slips. You just go up, tell him what you want to sing, and then he saves it so it’s handy next time. If you think you have a little talent, you should come! If you don’t have any talent, stay home. Just kidding. You can come too! It’s super fun.
I know you’re thinking; “Listen here, girlfriend. You’re crazy. I have to work tomorrow.” And believe me, I understand this can be a problem sometimes. That’s why I recommend that you don’t plan anything really important on your Thursday morning schedule. Save that time for easy data entry or doing “paperwork”. There, no worries.
Wastin’ Away Wednesdays at Goodfella’s offers you a nice little break from all the hard work you put in. Fellow Rangers, stop in and relax–you deserve it.
